SAWUSA is proud to welcome Matthew Lord (Saint Louis, Missouri) as our newest SAWUSA Ambassador for Summer 2027.
Matthew is a men’s basketball forward/center at Missouri Baptist University, and his story is exactly what our invitation-only selection process is built to find: resilience, coachability, and high character.
Matthew’s path wasn’t easy. After being cut in high school, he didn’t quit. He created his own team, kept working, and stayed committed to his goal. That determination is what separates athletes who simply play from athletes who lead.
In 2027, Matthew will travel with SAWUSA to the Portugal Basketball Festival, competing internationally while experiencing Portugal and Spain as a USA Ambassador.
