COACH QUOTES

  • Coach Finneran, “Reid’s presence at any practice means a higher level of energy and intensity by all involved. Any team would be blessed to have an athlete of his caliber in the line-up.  Reid’s passion for baseball and drive for success is contagious. He motivates teammates to perform above their abilities.”
  • Coach Law, “His attitude and work ethic stand out. He has above average arm strength, good pop with the bat and can hit to all fields. He is absolutely the best base runner I have seen in 21 years of coaching. With his natural instinct, he may as well be faster than a 6.8.”

STUDENTathleteWorld EVALUATION
(Spring 2010)

  • At STUDENTathleteWorld.com we contract professionals in each sport to evaluate our athletes.  We realize that as college coaches you want to make this evaluation yourself.  Our evaluation is simply to help our clients target the right level schools.  College coaches please feel free to use our evaluations as a tool for yourselves, knowing it is our goal to be as realistic as possible!

STRENGTHS

  • Speed and motor.  Seems to play at a high level at least all the time on film.  Liked his starting speed on the bases.  However he needs to get a secondary lead where he is not starting from a complete stop every time.  Other than that, I saw good base running instincts.  Seemed to have the same speed in the outfield as well.  I liked his short compact swing as well as his small strike zone and he appeared to have a decent feel for hitting and waiting for the right pitch.  He also seemed to have a swing that could hit to all fields, but I did not see enough clips to verify that.  That is an important thing for a potential leadoff hitter.

WEAKNESSES/ DEFICIENCIES COMPARED TO CURRENT COLLEGE ATHLETES OR PROSPECTS

  • Reid’s major deficiencies are his overall size and his arm strength.  Did not see many clips on outfield throws.  I am assuming because of his size and the few higher throws I saw that arm strength needs to be developed some?  Also, not sure of hitting power?

OTHER NOTES

  • Interesting player.  I think his size may turn D1′s off.  Coached a kid like that at NC State Camp when he was a freshman and he ended up at ECU.  Need to see video from behind the plate to evaluate the pitching.  I project him as a D2 player.  I think in a year he will be a lot better.  The video only shows a small sample of his tools.  I’d like to see more outfield throws, outfield closing speed, and his swing from behind the plate.

MAXIMUM POTENTIAL LEVEL OF PLAY PROJECTION

  • This estimation is meant to project potential highest level of play.  We at STUDENTathleteWorld.com understand the vast differences within divisions and also geographically.  We are not meaning to label our clients or limit opportunities across all divisions.  This is simply a tool for us and our clients to make sure we are not targeting schools far above our ability level.

Thank you for all your help with the recruiting process.  As you know, we began the recruiting process very late by most standards.  I did not know where to start or how to begin the recruiting process so I turned to you and STUDENTathleteWorld.  The bottom line is you delivered results.  Your guidance and assistance through the process is immeasurable.  After posting my son’s profile and video we began getting immediate results.  Numerous colleges were reaching out.  With your h…Joe RonanFather of Robert Ronan, Raritan High School (New Jersey)
He got so much interest!  Thanks for all your help.  Nick made a commitment!  Thank you so much for your help! I learned so much about the college recruiting process from you.  Nick would like you to come down if you can when he signs his commitment letter.  Thanks again for your help!  [Note: Nick committed to Barton College]Jill AhlquistMother of Nick Ahlquist, Swansboro High School (North Carolina)
My wife and I entered the world of college recruiting believing my son’s talents alone were enough to get him a scholarship to a great school. We quickly learned that to do the best for our son we needed help from someone who knew how to navigate through the maze and traps of recruiting. We credit STUDENTathleteWorld and the passion for what they do, care for their clients and their knowledge of the recruiting process, for helping us get our son a scholarship to play college baseball.  Their a…Todd RoederFather of Josh Roeder, Porter Ridge High School (North Carolina)
I have committed to play soccer in Salt Lake City, Utah next year. Thank you for everything that you have done for me, I really appreciate it.  [Note: Zack committed to Westminster College]Zack BrownMater Dei High School (California)
The STUDENTathleteWorld program exposed me to the intense process of sports recruiting but in a way that was manageable and easy to follow through with. Without it I would have never had the opportunity to seriously consider colleges across the country that were very interested in me. With the program I was able to communicate with [Oregon Rep Nicholas Heffernan] the minute I had a question and things got done fast because of that. He also had his best interest in me and my college career and wa…Sophia RaglioneCorbett High School (Oregon)
The honest evaluations, and insight on the players make this company unique. Every parent, player, and recruiter should value the honesty given by the STUDENTathleteWorld team. If you are good enough the big time will find you, but the challenge is to make the big time where you are and they can do that for all their clients.Mike GardnerHead Football Coach, Tabor College (Kansas)
Andrew committed today.  He had fifty-two colleges contact him.  Thanks a lot!  [Note: Andrew committed to NC Wesleyan College]Dave FranklinFather of Andrew Franklin, Wilmington Christian Academy (North Carolina)
The STUDENTathleteWorld program was very useful. It saved us a ton of time using the college search tool to contact coaches. The templates, information, and video information provided by the service really simplified the process. We had several compliments on the web site and of Jordan’s video….And more importantly, having a representative such as yourself to answer questions and offer suggestions is a great attribute to the program. Jim FlemingFather of Jordan Fleming, Middletown North High School (New Jersey)
The STUDENTathleteWorld program has really started to open up some awesome opportunities that may not have happened without your structure and guidance.  Coach Glant [Indiana STUDENTathleteWorld Representative] has been a great help mentoring me through each step of this process.  He has been very informative explaining the recruiting process and helping me take the right steps which ultimately will help me make the right decisions.Seth GohringMount Vernon High School (Indiana)
You are the best!!!!! You are the best for staying in touch even when we have not. Thank you for you enthusiasm and help. Many, many thanks to you and if we can send any business your way we will certainly do so.Sarah PackardMother of Phillip Packard, Fike High School (North Carolina)
Too many student-athletes go un-recruited or under-recruited because they don’t realize and take advantage of all the options available to them.  The STUDENTathleteWorld program teaches STUDENTathletes how to market themselves correctly and find that perfect fit.NCAA Women's Lacrosse Coach*name removed per NCAA rules

I just wanted to let you know that TJ has committed!  We had a great visit up there on Saturday, and they really want him and have offered a very nice amount of academic money.  Thank you for all your help this year.  I only wish we had started this a bit sooner!  [Note: TJ committed to Averett University]Thomas ViracolaFather of TJ Viracola, Knightdale High School (North Carolina)
Your program provided exactly what you said it would- it educated us on the recruiting process, prepared John to be recruited by way of a profile and video and then you put John out there countrywide where he got a lot of exposure and contact.  He was able to get a large sample of different schools in various areas of the country which ultimately formed his preferences on the type of school he wanted to attend.  The information you sent out monthly by way of newsletters and videos were very h…Sherri BeaverMother of John Beaver, Myers Park High School (North Carolina)
Evan has committed. He will be joining a Division III program that ranks 35th out of the nearly 400 Division III soccer programs. We felt they offered Evan the best academic environment, the opportunity to play a high level of soccer, and a very generous academic scholarship package. He did have other offers, including division II schools.  They learned about Evan from your website, and we are very grateful for the opportunity it has brought to him!  Several coaches even traveled to Raleigh…Kathy VogelMother of Evan Vogel, Statesville High School (North Carolina)
We have been receiving quite a few emails and letters due to the exposure you provide. The video was very good. Your people on site were very professional and it was a pleasure to work with them. STUDENTathleteWorld opened up numerous opportunities for me.  The program gave me the confidence and resources I needed to effectively communicate and navigate through my entire selection process.  I don’t feel I would be playing college baseball without the help from everyone at STUDENTathleteWorld. The program really works!  [Seth committed to Dominican University]Seth GohringMount Vernon High School (Indiana)
I think that without STUDENTathleteWorld I would not be signing a national letter of intent today to play college basketball! [NOTE: James committed to St. Andrews University]James GarstHough High School (North Carolina)
I writing to officially thank you for all your guidance in helping Hannah (and her parents) learn the habits of the college athlete’s recruiting season.  Your material is second to none, kept us well informed, and encouraged us when we felt we were losing touch with reality.  She has been offered and has accepted a full scholarship (tuition, room, board, and books).  She had also received two other scholarship offers.  Bless you and thank you for all you did to make this possible!  [Note: Hannah…Timothy KimbroughFather of Hannah Kimbrough, Ensworth High School (Tennessee)
In my experience as a college level assistant basketball coach, STUDENTathleteWorld is hands down the most knowledgeable and  professional program when it comes to helping student-athletes play at the next level.  They are truthful and upfront with their clients and know all the secrets that go unknown for most potential college athletes.  Bottom line is that they have been the most innovative company in his line of business and their organization and professionalism speaks for itself.NCAA Men's Basketball Recruiting Coordinator*name removed per NCAA rules
STUDENTathleteWorld enabled me to reach hundreds of colleges and coaches. Through this process I was able to connect with many schools.  Once they showed interest in me I was able to develop some solid relationships with the coaches.  In the end I felt it was the best place for me.  [Note: Raleigh committed to Luther College]Raleigh SimsHoly Trinity Episcopal Academy (Florida)
